This town, located at more than 1,300 meters above sea level on a hill, stands out for its peculiar location and for being part of a region with an important juniper forest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tradition of the Soldadesca, which shares similarities with that of Iruecha in Soria, had been abandoned for almost 30 years until in 1996, thanks to the efforts of Javier Bueno and the local community, its annual celebration was resumed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Symbolism and Devotion<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Soldadesca is celebrated on August 16, coinciding with the festival of San Roque and the celebrations of the Virgen del Buen Suceso.
